Time for Me is a service of assistants for your inbox. Its first assistant, Finch, sorts your email. This page explains which data it uses, why, where it is kept and for how long.
1. Who is responsible
Time for Me, Maud Bricaud (sole proprietorship), 70 avenue Jean Jaurès, 69007 Lyon, France. SIRET 522 592 476 00017.
Contact: bricaudmaud@gmail.com
2. What Finch does with your email
With your consent, Finch accesses your Gmail mailbox (Google permission “read, compose and modify email”) to:
- read incoming emails, to sort them into Urgent, To do or Promotions. When a mailbox is connected, only new emails and the 20 most recent ones are read; older emails are only analysed if you ask for it (targeted catch-up);
- apply labels “Finch/…” and archive promotions (they leave the inbox but remain in “All Mail”). Every change is recorded and can be undone;
- prepare your morning summary and your Friday review;
- prepare draft replies, which you review and send yourself.
3. What Finch never does
- It never sends an email.
- It never deletes an email. The only exception, at your request: removing a draft it created itself, if it has been neither edited nor sent.
- It does not use your data for advertising, does not sell it and does not use it to train artificial intelligence models.
- Nobody reads your email: the service administration only sees statuses and numbers (for example “12 emails sorted”), never their content.
4. Sorting by Claude (Anthropic)
When none of your rules can sort an email, Finch sends its text to Claude, the artificial intelligence service of Anthropic, which suggests a category. This processing takes place outside France, in the United States. Anthropic processes this data on behalf of Time for Me and does not use it to train its models.
5. Where your data is kept
- It is hosted in France, on an OVHcloud server located in Gravelines.
- Each client has a separate space: one client's data is never mixed with another's.
- Your Gmail access credentials are kept encrypted, in a vault specific to each client; all exchanges with the service use an encrypted connection (https).
6. How long
- Summaries, reviews and sorting details (senders, subjects, chosen category): deleted automatically after 90 days.
- Identifiers of already sorted emails (no content): 30 days.
- Activity log and counters (numbers only, no email content) and your access credentials: as long as your account is active.
- You can ask at any time for all your data to be deleted: this is done within one month.
7. Who it is shared with
With no one other than the two providers the service needs: OVHcloud (hosting in France) and Anthropic (sorting by Claude, see section 4). No data is sold or shared for advertising.
8. Google user data: Limited Use
Time for Me's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
9. Your rights
- You can revoke Time for Me's access to your Google account at any time from your Google permissions.
- You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your data (GDPR). Write to bricaudmaud@gmail.com.
- You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
10. Cookies
This website uses no cookies. The Time for Me app uses a single cookie, needed to keep you signed in (90 days); no analytics or advertising cookies.
